Creative Corner Chicago is a trauma-informed mental health arts space where artists collaborate, the community connects, and youth & adults are supported in expressing their emotions through multiple art forms. Through creative engagement, we promote emotional wellness, resilience, and self-discovery while providing safe, supportive opportunities for healing and personal growth. We proudly serve individuals and communities throughout Chicago and the greater suburban Illinois area.
Youth Arts
Creative Corner Chicago provides high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction through in-school, before-school, and out of-school programming that integrates mental health–informed arts education with academic enrichment. Our programming incorporates trauma-responsive, sustainable, and restorative practices that support emotional regulation, self-expression, and overall well-being. Through intentional creative experiences, we equip participants with the skills to understand and harness the power of art as a tool for emotional awareness, resilience, and meaningful engagement with the world.
Adult Arts
Creative Corner Chicago provides comprehensive training for arts educators and teaching artists focused on mental health–informed, trauma-responsive facilitation practices. Through structured professional development, both degreed and non-degreed teaching artists gain the skills needed to lead emotionally safe, engaging, and inclusive arts-based workshops. Participants earn a certificate demonstrating proficiency in core competencies, including trauma-informed classroom management, emotional and physical safety, Social-Emotional Learning integration, and strategies for fostering regulation, connection, and meaningful student engagement.

Creative Corner Chicago’s early childhood programs strengthen parent and caregiver bonding through arts-based activities rooted in social-emotional learning. Our workshops support confidence, self-regulation, and emotional connection for both children and caregivers, offering meaningful opportunities to engage together through creative, performance-based projects.

Creative Corner Chicago offers professional development and training for K–12 educators, administrators, and professionals across corporate and nonprofit organizations. Our workshops focus on mental health and wellness, trauma-informed teaching practices, conflict resolution, SEL integration, program development, and effective management. All trainings use creative expression as a tool to build practical, transferable skills that support healthy, engaged, and emotionally responsive workplaces.
